Wie man eine Statue gießt

Die Kinder der 2. Klasse unserer griechischen Partnerschule haben ein Video gesehen über die Entstehung einer Kupferfigur und darüber gesprochen, welche Materialien man benötigt: Kupfer, Wachs, Erde und Keramik. Schritt für Schritt wurde den Schülern der Entstehungsprozess erklärt und aufgezeigt, was die Elemente  Feuer und Erde damit zu tun haben.

 

How to make a cast statue

With the help of the art teacher, the pupils of 2nd grad watched and discussed a video about the creation of a cast copper statue. They spotted the Earth materials being used by a craftsmen in the foundry (soil, wax, copper, tile). They watched and explained the procedure of creating the statue step by step, and they recognized the role of the fire in this procedure. Thus, we concluded in an example of how the elements of Earth and Fire can be connected.

Samen pflanzen

Die Schüler der 1. Klasse haben einen Workshop besucht zum Thema "Pflanzen und Wachsen". Sie haben über die Photosynthese und deren Bedeutung für unseren Planeten Erde gesprochen und über die Notwendigkeit an einer Vielfalt an Früchten und Gemüse.

Die Schüler haben Samen in eine Tasse gepflanzt und deren Wachstum beobachtet.

Planting seeds

The pupils of the 1st grade visited a workshop where they explored the role of the seeds in plants creation and development in a ‘hands-on learning’ way. They discussed about the significance of photosynthesis for planet Earth, about the importance of a diet rich in vegetables and fruits. The pupils planted seeds in cups and watched the next steps in the development of a plant. In the end, they got their souvenir pots to grow them at home!

Töpfern

Letzten Herbst haben die Gruppen A, B und C an einem Töpferworkshop an der griechischen Partnerschule teilgenommen. Nach einer Einführung über die Arbeit mit Ton, hatten die Schüler die Gelegenheit, selbst etwas aus Ton herzustellen. Es hat den Schülern großen Spaß gemacht.

Clay workshop

Last autumn, grades A, B and C participated in a clay workshop in our school. After viewing a short presentation on statues and pots made of clay, the pupils played with clay and created in their classes their own little works of art as well as a team human figure. The little potters enjoyed it a lot!
